Good place specially for family in summer and also have Steep walk with lots of steps. For fat people a little be hard to down and up and The signage says no swimming at waterfall (there's no phone signal at the bottom if there's an accident). We dipped our feet and hats in further along the path which was refreshing. A great walk.

Such a beautiful waterfall! Was a relatively quick and easy walk down the stairs to the base of the waterfall. We went around 3pm and it wasnโ€™t overly crowded with people. Plenty of room to relax next to the rocks and take in the nice spray of water. The walk back up is pretty tiring due to very steep stairs, but overall it is well worth it. Bring a water bottle, a hat and some sunscreen.

Spectacular falls! Steep walk with lots of steps. The signage says no swimming at waterfall (there's no phone signal at the bottom if there's an accident). We dipped our feet and hats in further along the path which was refreshing. A great walk.

Haven't been here for 20 years! So much better in many ways. The paths are great and signage informative. The falls are their usual brilliant selves. Mid march and still flowing well. And yes we can confirm 260 steps to the bottom of the falls. Easy down but a struggle up. Lookouts were well placed.

A good waterfall with good water levels in summer. The base pool is good for a dip. Tips: 1. The surface can be slippery, wear good shoes. 2. The walk down is easy, the steps are steep but there are railings. 3. The climb up is a bit difficult. 4. Carry a camera if you want to take some really pretty shots. 5. Go early morning to get the falls to yourself. It's serene and therapeutic to sit there are listen to the waterfall and enjoy the beautiful view!!! Enjoy this spectacular falls!!! Another 1.5 km walk will take to to fish falls which is another beautiful location for a dip and fun.

Beautiful waterfalls. The lookouts to the falls are wheelchair accessible but even though the track is sealed it can be bumpy in places. Itโ€™s not even either so itโ€™s would still be a bit of hard work. Anyone can do the walk and enjoy the falls. If you are fit enough you can go down the steps to the bottom of the falls but the rocks are a bit slippery so you have to be careful. The signs could be a bit better, if you donโ€™t turn off to the left towards Mackenzie falls the track heads towards Zumsteins. So you can walk to Zumsteins from here as well. Itโ€™s around 3.5 kms. Flushing toilets and picnic tables available. Can get very busy in holiday times. A must do though while in the Grampians

Easy falls to get to and not far from the carpark itโ€™s definitely a lot less crowded there

Can we feel how majestic this waterfall is! One of the largest in Victoria. Ya but you have to walk like 2km with return and you'll need to trek down 260 narrow steps to reach the base of the falls, so be prepared for a difficult climb back to the top. You can go to Fish fall from here but Iโ€™ll suggest to from Zumsteins picnic area & Historical site, more easier.

This is a great waterfall all year round and after some rain is even better. The walk to the bottom has many steps and if you take your time any one with reasonable fitness can do. There are some vantage points of which only locals know about and not easy access so a photo from directly in front not accessible to majority as need to have good fitness and be very carefully. Next to MacKenzie Falls is also Broken Falls so proving some photos of this as well and is also at its best after rain.

Nice waterfall, last half of the walk is steep and can be slippery when wet. It will take a moderate level of fitness to walk the bottom half of the steep steps. Worth the extra effort.

So took two a group of young boys on the Mackenzie lookout and Falls walk. Both were amazing, with the Falls walk having the benefit of being able to dive in at the bottom ๐Ÿ™‚ The Falls walk itself isn't far, but there are steep steps to the bottom, which means a challenging climb back if you're not mobile or walk fit. Worth a visit, especially if you're near Halls Gap.

Love this place! Only 20min from Halls Gap and lots of parking, although it does get busy. The path down to the falls is well made but steep so be ready for a hard walk back up. I swim at the rock pool but itโ€™s not supervised so be careful. I have had to rescue people there who canโ€™t swim. There is also a nice walk down the river. Beautiful spot.

Incredible spot. Great views from the first look out above the falls. then a nice easy walk around to the look at that faces the waterfalls. Well worth doing. Then if you have the energy you must walk down the stairs to get to the bottom of the falls for the best view of the falls. Allow plenty of time to explore. One time in the carpet we were greeted by a kangaroo. Another time an emu.

One of the most beautiful falls in Victoria, itโ€™s so relaxing, you can use the trails to hike with the water source, itโ€™s not easy to get down to see this fall so be prepared to use the stairs.

Loved it. About 300 meters steep walk followed by exactly 260 steep and big rocky carved steps. When I had been there swimming was not allowed. People were wearing swimming suit and towel from carpark were ditched. Steps till the bottom of the falls have rails on hold. Toilets are available. Bonus tip: Bend and enter into Falls exactly at the last step to reach the fall and catch the water drops. Look at my video at that location.

About 25 mins drive from Halls gap and this is what awaits you. The place is one of my favourite place to visit while in Grampians. Beautiful place with great lookout points like Broken falls lookout which is about 180m walk from main entrance point. See photos for views from these points. On the way you can visit Reeds lookout and Balconies, which is a bonus. Once you visit the falls, the trail leads further 2kms to reach fish falls. If you have time and energy, itโ€™s a walk worth giving a try. A bit of steep steps as you approach the falls, not recommended for people with joint issues. And slippery surface as well. Be extra careful no matter how good your shoes are. Toilets and ample parking available. Weather can be teasingly wet, with slight drizzle and sunny. People with pram, might have to leave it in your car boot.

Absolutely stunning and only a small walk to see the main waterfall. If going to the lookout go left, the sign has been a stolen so canโ€™t see and would lead you on a big loop otherwise. The actually waterfall is a steep but moderate climb, the views are certainly worth. There was a rock slide so some access cut off but can still do the massive walk to fish falls

The best set of waterfalls in the Grampians. Well work the walk down the 240 steps to the bottom to get the best views of the falls. Then a slow climb back up to the car park. Clean toilet facilities and plenty of places to have a picnic lunch at this location.

One of the falls in the Grampians, upper to the amazing McKenzies Falls. Only few hundred meters away from the McKenzies Falls carpark. The abandoned lookout point has greater and full view of the falls, but no easy access to it anymore.

Stunning waterfall amongst beautiful bush scenery. Bring your fitness because there are a few steps but it's well worth it for the view. Toilet facilities are available adjacent the ample carpark

Beautiful and magic waterfalls, I loved this place; it was so refreshing after a long hike around the Grampians. Please take your rubbish with you! The park DOES NOT HAVE ANY RUBISH BINS. It is sad to see around the waterfalls a lot of food packets and nappies ๐Ÿ˜”

Challenging to get good views without additional climbing, but worth a brief visit given it's only 140 m from Mackenzie falls. It's a lot less busy than its sister falls but well worth a visit.

pretty little waterfall. nothing too spectacular, but the water spray put up a nice rainbow for us. the overhanging sandstone cliffs were stunning and formidable. came as a tour so the stairs were pretty clustered at one point in time at the bottom of the mackenzie falls. stairs are pretty high on the way up/down too, so not for those with knee problems.

I recently visited the falls, and I was truly captivated by the mesmerizing water flow. The entire place exudes beauty and is a fantastic destination for a family outing. However, it's essential to be prepared for a bit of physical activity, as you'll need to descend and climb back up. It's wise to bring water or energy drinks, especially if you're traveling with kids. I visited during a public holiday, and the crowd was quite significant. Nevertheless, the area outside the falls makes for a delightful picnic spot. There are comfortable seating options available, and you can also enjoy your meal under the refreshing shade of the trees.

Probably the most well-known waterfall in the Grampians, but is only accessible up close by descending down a long flight of steps into the gorge. There is another lookout on top of the gorge which offers more distant views and is at the end of a short flat walk from the car park, which itself is just a short drive off Mt Victory Road. It's quite popular so you will probably have to share the place with many others, unless you come early. There is a track which follows the gorge downstream and is less popular.

Beautiful area. Rushing water, a rainbow, and q blue sky! I recommend walking down the bottom of the stairs as there's another great walk with river views toward the Zumstein picnic area. The stairs can get pretty steep so make sure you hold the rail. Plenty of parking, and restrooms.

We walked to one of the lookouts, not down to the bottom of the falls. 45-minute round trip (we did have a child with us, but I'm the slow walker of the family), saw some wildlife on the walk back as well. A great little walk on a clear sunny day. I've seen other reviews saying wheelchair accessible, though it would definitely be a workout if a person was pushing one.

Great waterfall and truly a sight to behold. Just be prepared to climb up and down some steps to get to it. Not for the faint of heart

This place is one of the highlights here in Grampians. I love the rainbow on the falls on a hot day. Easy to go down but the climbing back was tough. The place has well maintained toilets that will refresh you after a hot day of hiking.

Stunning bush scenery with toilet facilities at the carpark. The lookout is easy to walk to, but the walk to and from the base of the falls requires a good fitness level.

  • 5/5 Danielle K. 6 months ago on Google
Absolutely stunning place, and very accessible with short walks and concrete paths all the way. The steps to the bottom are only for the very fit people but there are clear warning signs about this, and you can see plenty from the lookout anyway!

Amazing place to visit. Very beautiful with the falls, breeze and rainbow. Feels so calm and pleasant. Obviously nice location for pics.

Great view point, even in the rain. Only a short walk from the car park.

Couldnโ€™t find a way to get closer to the waterfall. There is a lookout point which is accessible for anyone. But the views from the lookout is bit covered by trees. If u go down on an unmarked way through the rocks down the way towards the lookout point u can have breathtaking views of the waterfall.

A great waterfall in the Grampians. The walk is very short moderate difficulty. We went in a wet day during the winter so sadly did not try swimming, however the view is still worth it.

Lovely walk down to the falls, challenging on the way up but not too long and my 5yo made it. Beautiful spot and a must see when in the Grampians!

  • 5/5 R H. 10 months ago on Google
Stunning waterfall especially if alot of rain Quite a climb down hill 260 steps and a short 400m, all fun and games though until you have to climb up๐Ÿซฃ

  • 5/5 Siu Yin L. 5 years ago on Google
The Broken Falls were not as impressive as the MacKenzie Falls. However the view was still quite nice as it has its own style of flowing water through a series of layers of rocks. Or I may say it is somewhat โ€œsofterโ€ than the MacKenzie Falls. It is very close to the MacKenzie Falls, so it is worthwhile to have a look.

  • 4/5 Linden J. 3 years ago on Google
Had to climb to a better vantage point to actually get a good look at the falls

  • 4/5 Luke M. 4 years ago on Google
This is a pretty waterfall worth seeing especially as it is less than 5 minutes walk from the carpark on a wheelchair-accessible trail. While it is not as big and impressive as the downstream Mackenzie Falls, it receives far fewer visitors and so is tranquil by comparison. It's also a good option for anyone who has mobility issues and so cannot climb up and down the many steep steps to the base of Mackenzie Falls.

  • 5/5 Quentin G. 8 months ago on Google
Wow! What a spot ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป great access lots of stairs and a little steep in some spots on the way down to the Falls. My 4 year old did this walk with a little help here and there. This is in my top 3 water falls in Victoria.

  • 5/5 Pete 3 years ago on Google
Fantastic waterfall, only 140 m from the mackenzie Falls carpark, but almost empty of people. Well worth it.

Beautiful view of the fall, just few meters trail from the car park!

  • 5/5 Thomas M. 1 year ago on Google
1st time visit, Amazed with one of the most iconic and spectacular waterfall in the Grampians. Watch the majestic waterfall from the lookout platform or tackle the steep climb to the base of the falls. Good exercises though.
