my
Korean
friend
who
came
here
for
a
student
exchange
program.
When
I
saw
the
condition
of
her
hair
after
visiting
this
salon,
I
was
genuinely
shocked,
and
I
feel
compelled
to
share
her
experience
on
7
September
2023
at
about
3pm:
My
recent
visit
to
Bada
Hair
바다
헤어,
a
Korean
hair
salon
in
Singapore,
was
far
from
satisfactory.
While
I
had
high
hopes
for
an
authentic
and
quality
experience,
my
visit
was
marred
by
misunderstandings
and
a
lack
of
clear
communication,
particularly
due
to
a
potential
language
barrier.
To
provide
context,
I
arrived
at
the
salon
with
the
knowledge
that
I
had
previously
used
a
black
box
dye
on
my
hair.
I
was
well
aware
of
the
challenges
involved
in
transitioning
from
black
to
a
lighter
color,
and
I
was
seeking
expert
guidance
to
achieve
my
desired
look.
What
makes
my
experience
particularly
frustrating
is
that
the
salon
was
aware
of
my
prior
use
of
a
black
box
dye,
which
added
complexity
to
the
situation.
Despite
this,
stylist
Emil
initially
suggested
trying
the
bleaching
process.
However,
during
the
procedure,
it
became
evident
that
my
hair
was
not
responding
well
and
could
potentially
suffer
severe
damage.
I
must
clarify
that
I
did
not
agree
to
the
third
round
of
bleach.
Instead,
it
was
Emil
who
procceded
on
without
clarifying.
Unfortunately,
there
was
a
lack
of
clear
communication
and
understanding
during
this
process,
which
may
have
contributed
to
the
undesirable
outcome.
What
compounds
my
disappointment
is
the
presence
of
Jenny,
a
senior
director
at
the
salon,
during
my
visit.
I
had
assumed
that
a
senior
figure
like
Jenny
would
provide
better
advisory
and
guidance,
especially
given
the
complexities
of
my
situation.
However,
her
presence
did
not
contribute
positively
to
the
process,
and
I
was
left
feeling
let
down.
I
understand
that
language
barriers
can
pose
challenges
in
communication,
and
I
had
hoped
that,
as
an
authentic
Korean
salon,
Bada
Hair
would
excel
in
catering
to
Korean
customers
like
myself.
However,
the
experience
I
had
fell
short
of
these
expectations.
The
service
I
received
left
my
hair
uneven,
severely
damaged,
and
with
unexpected
breakage.
Despite
the
setbacks,
I
did
not
request
to
discontinue
the
process,
as
Emil
suggested
trying
to
achieve
the
desired
result.
The
lack
of
effective
communication
and
a
clear
understanding
of
the
potential
risks
ultimately
led
to
unfavorable
results.
I
paid
a
wooping
amount,
$540,
for
a
service
that
did
not
meet
my
expectations
and
left
my
hair
in
a
worse
condition
than
before.
As
a
Korean
customer,
I
felt
let
down
by
the
experience.
In
conclusion,
my
visit
to
Bada
Hair
바다
헤어
did
not
align
with
the
authentic
and
high-quality
Korean
salon
experience
I
had
hoped
for.
Effective
communication,
understanding
of
the
customer's
needs,
and
appropriate
advisory
are
vital
in
any
salon,
especially
one
catering
to
specific
cultural
backgrounds.
I
hope
that
my
feedback,
which
includes
the
presence
of
a
senior
director,
serves
as
valuable
input
for
improvement,
ensuring
that
future
customers
have
a
more
positive
and
satisfactory
experience.

PS:
On
a
personal
level,
I
find
it
unfathomable
that
even
in
the
face
of
communication
challenges,
a
senior
colorist
would
allow
a
client
to
leave
the
salon
in
the
condition
my
friend
did.
As
a
friend,
I
am
appalled
by
the
unacceptable
outcome
of
her
visit.
As
a
Singaporean,
I
am
well
aware
of
what
is
considered
decent
and
what
is
not.
What
adds
to
my
disbelief
is
the
exorbitant
price
of
$540
for
the
service
rendered.
Frankly,
I
cannot
help
but
wonder
if
someone
is
either
completely
disregarding
quality
or
taking
advantage
of
her
as
a
foreigner.
It's
especially
baffling
given
that
she
visited
a
Korean
salon,
where
one
would
expect
a
level
of
expertise
and
understanding
commensurate
with
her
background.
This
experience
has
left
me
deeply
concerned
and
disappointed
on
multiple
levels.
It's
my
hope
that
sharing
this
review
will
bring
attention
to
the
issues
my
friend
faced
during
her
visit
and
serve
as
a
cautionary
tale
for
others
considering
services
at
this
establishment.
