I'm writing this review on behalf of my Korean friend who came here for a student exchange program. When I saw the condition of her hair after visiting this salon, I was genuinely shocked, and I feel compelled to share her experience on 7 September 2023 at about 3pm: My recent visit to Bada Hair 바다 헤어, a Korean hair salon in Singapore, was far from satisfactory. While I had high hopes for an authentic and quality experience, my visit was marred by misunderstandings and a lack of clear communication, particularly due to a potential language barrier. To provide context, I arrived at the salon with the knowledge that I had previously used a black box dye on my hair. I was well aware of the challenges involved in transitioning from black to a lighter color, and I was seeking expert guidance to achieve my desired look. What makes my experience particularly frustrating is that the salon was aware of my prior use of a black box dye, which added complexity to the situation. Despite this, stylist Emil initially suggested trying the bleaching process. However, during the procedure, it became evident that my hair was not responding well and could potentially suffer severe damage. I must clarify that I did not agree to the third round of bleach. Instead, it was Emil who procceded on without clarifying. Unfortunately, there was a lack of clear communication and understanding during this process, which may have contributed to the undesirable outcome. What compounds my disappointment is the presence of Jenny, a senior director at the salon, during my visit. I had assumed that a senior figure like Jenny would provide better advisory and guidance, especially given the complexities of my situation. However, her presence did not contribute positively to the process, and I was left feeling let down. I understand that language barriers can pose challenges in communication, and I had hoped that, as an authentic Korean salon, Bada Hair would excel in catering to Korean customers like myself. However, the experience I had fell short of these expectations. The service I received left my hair uneven, severely damaged, and with unexpected breakage. Despite the setbacks, I did not request to discontinue the process, as Emil suggested trying to achieve the desired result. The lack of effective communication and a clear understanding of the potential risks ultimately led to unfavorable results. I paid a wooping amount, $540, for a service that did not meet my expectations and left my hair in a worse condition than before. As a Korean customer, I felt let down by the experience. In conclusion, my visit to Bada Hair 바다 헤어 did not align with the authentic and high-quality Korean salon experience I had hoped for. Effective communication, understanding of the customer's needs, and appropriate advisory are vital in any salon, especially one catering to specific cultural backgrounds. I hope that my feedback, which includes the presence of a senior director, serves as valuable input for improvement, ensuring that future customers have a more positive and satisfactory experience. . PS: On a personal level, I find it unfathomable that even in the face of communication challenges, a senior colorist would allow a client to leave the salon in the condition my friend did. As a friend, I am appalled by the unacceptable outcome of her visit. As a Singaporean, I am well aware of what is considered decent and what is not. What adds to my disbelief is the exorbitant price of $540 for the service rendered. Frankly, I cannot help but wonder if someone is either completely disregarding quality or taking advantage of her as a foreigner. It's especially baffling given that she visited a Korean salon, where one would expect a level of expertise and understanding commensurate with her background. This experience has left me deeply concerned and disappointed on multiple levels. It's my hope that sharing this review will bring attention to the issues my friend faced during her visit and serve as a cautionary tale for others considering services at this establishment.

First visit on 10 Oct 2023, I am very satisfied with their service for the True Care Relaxation Headspa which cost $120 that includes head and neck massage as well as cleansing, steaming, hair wash and blow drying. My friend and I were seated in an exclusive room for the Headspa service and we really love this experience. I wish to see some improvement in the manpower as there is not enough therapists required for the Headspa service that day as some of them are on mc or on leave therefore we are assigned with last minute change of therapists.

I had a great experience! I went for a haircut with senior director Yoshiko and I can say it was worth it. She paid close attention to my preferences (I wanted healthy hair but not too short), and she was very perfectionist checking multiple times whether the cut was equal on all sides. I'm very happy with the result! (See the before and after video). I'll be back for my next haircut!

We really enjoy our experience at Bada Hair Salon, thanks to the friendly service from all staff. We really love our haircut, thanks to the amazing skilful hair stylists, Han and Creme. They really make use feel beautiful. Highly recommend this hair salon even for tourists like us. They are also patiently accommodating my daughter’s needs to be in a private room. Booking was so easy even when we book via WA from Australia.

I am glad to book my hair cut with Linda at Bada Hair Salon. Happy with my hair cut and Linda sharing tips and showing me how to maintain and blow my hair to have some volume to look better. I also can have a choice of my drink and some tea time snack to fill my half empty stomach. Also must comment on the hair wash and hair massage during the wash which feeling great with no fear of sudden breathlessness that i have such fear i experienced elsewhere. So i am really happy i am feeling good and looked younger with my new hair cut and no drama during hair wash. Thanks Linda and team for the good service. Keep up the good job!

First time here and so happy with the service, the result and the staffs friendliness. Got my hair cut by Director Josh, showed him a pic of what i want my hair to look like and i had last minutes request to colour my hair, and Director Josh recommend a few colours and decided to go with warm beige and im in love with the result! 🥰

Chanced upon Bada Hair Salon when I was googling for the best salon in Orchard area for my D&D hairdo. Booked an appointment and was assigned to Francis. Service good and he checked with me what style am I looking at and he advised me accordingly. Loving my curls and received many compliments throughout my D&D night last night, highly recommended and will definitely come back again!

Had an appointment with Carmen today at 10am and she was ready to greet me warmly. I was served with a drink of my choice and work started promptly. She answered all my questions patiently and due to me having a “virgin hair” she wasn’t afraid to inform me of the reality of not getting the exact color that i wanted. Nevertheless she did a great job and im definitely satisfied with the outcome. Due to the great service by the staff and the ambiance of the place, i took up a package with them (not being pushed by the way) and will definitely return. 👍🏼

Two weeks after my hair-cut by Jenny and many compliments from my friends, I can confirm that I had a really good one. I had permed shoulder-length hair for a long time and wanted to chop it off for a shorter fresher look. Jenny had the experience and expertise to execute and get me to where I wanted to land. Not many stylists know how to shape and layer hair just right. The experience at the salon was also fun. Jenny has her own "corner office" like the female boss :), overlooking Orchard Road. I've recommended her to my friends. She's very cool, not intrusive, did not push the usual treatments, and gave very good advice. I've been to many places along Orchard and elsewhere, and so, not easily impressed. Thanks.

I recently had the pleasure of receiving a professional haircut from Reno. He was meticulous in his craft and also offered valuable advice on how to effectively style my new hairstyle. Furthermore, I appreciated the added touch of the salon providing a choice of beverage alongside some snacks. Overall, my experience was highly positive and enjoyable.

I’m a tourist and Bada Hair was recommended to me by a local. I’m so happy I took the recommendation as I had a wonderful experience. Lanny was my hair stylist and he listened to exactly what I wanted and gave his own suggestions too. I went in to cover my greys and after a bad experience at a different salon, I was a bit nervous. Lanny and his assistant did an amazing job. 100% grey coverage and a beautiful natural color. Highly recommend!

I first tried Bada Hair back in Sept 2023 and I loved the experience so much that I went back after 2.5 months. It’s very easy to book an appointment with them. Also, all staff are friendly and accommodating — they even welcome their customers with comforting yuzu tea and delicious pastry. And my stylist Eve is amazing! Her hands work like magic. I love that she’s very patient with my requests and she gave me advice on how to bring back my hair’s health. I’ll definitely come back again.

I have been coming to this salon for a year and have enjoyed every session. Relaxing environment with great staff. The shampoo and treatments are heavenly! Mun Hui is an excellent stylist and knows exactly what works for me. I have always left the salon feeling satisfied and looking great! Highly recommend!

I’m always happy with the service I get from Bada Hair salon. I’ve been coming here for 11 months now and it is my go-to place. The staff here are really friendly and there’s no hard selling involved whatsoever. My hair stylist, Director Mun Hui is so attentive and understands what I want completely. My hair has since had a better shape to it, and the cuts are always done thoughtfully and nicely. He is a professional and knows what will look good on me. I had also done the Relaxation Head Spa by Molee and she was really friendly and gentle. She made sure that I’m 100% comfortable and she massaged my scalp well. Always happy with the service I get at this salon and I’d recommend this place to all my friends!

First time to Bada and was assigned Stylist Reno. Reno was friendly but not the over the top kind that makes you feel obliged to chit chat. Did a cut and down perm. The session was uneventful and really like the end results. Reno was very attentive and constantly letting me know what he intends to do with my hair. He also preempted some of the sensations I might be feeling when the perm chemical is applied to my hair. It was the little touch from Reno that made the difference. The ambience of the place is good (maybe a little messy) and comes with free selection of coffee and juices. Thought that the lighting were too bright but other than that, all was good. Will be back.
