The
Kamakhya
Temple,
one
of
the
most
famous
and
spiritual
temples
in
all
of
India.
It's
one
among
the
51
'Shaktipeeths'.
This
holy
temple
of
'Maa
Kamakhya'
located
at
the
top
of
Nilachal
Hills
in
Guwahati,
Assam.
A
large
number
of
devotees
come
here
throughout
the
year
to
have
the
'Darshan'
of
'Maa
Kamakhya'.
It
was
a
long
awaited
wish
of
my
mother
to
visit
this
temple
once
and
to
fulfill
her
wish
we
came
to
Assam.
So
after
getting
the
incredible
opportunity
to
visit
here,
I
want
to
share
my
experience
so
that
there
is
no
inconvenience
to
the
devotees.
This
temple
is
one
of
the
most
revered
centres
of
Tantric
Practices.
The
8th-9th
century
architecture
of
the
temple
and
it's
surroundings
feels
a
spiritual
calmness
that
is
hard
to
put
into
words.
We
visited
the
temple
at
very
early
morning
around
5:30
am.
Just
after
leaving
our
UBER,
some
worship
items
seller
just
beside
the
main
road
told
us
that
we
can't
visit
the
temple
with
shoes,
so
we
have
to
drop
our
shoes
over
there
and
additionally
we
have
to
buy
the
worship
items.
Apart
from
these
roadside
shops,
you
will
find
similar
shops
closer
to
the
temple.
Okay,
now
talking
about
the
line
system.
There
were
two
line
systems
for
the
devotees.
One
is
general
line
(free)
and
one
is
VIP
line
(Rs.
501/-
per
head
ticket).
If
you
want
to
visit
the
"Garvagriha"
of
the
temple
with
general
line,
you'll
get
free
general
tickets
from
the
roadside
counter.
The
general
queue
starts
from
almost
2am
midnight,
but
the
line
opens
for
the
temple
on
approximately
6:15
am.
It
takes
almost
10-12
hours
to
worship
the
goddess
if
you
can't
join
this
general
line
very
early
morning.
I
mentioned
another
way
to
visit
there
and
that
is
VIP
line.
The
VIP
tickets
counter
opens
twice
a
day,
at
6:30
am
and
near
about
12:30
am.
The
Temple
committee
sell
very
limited
amount
of
tickets
everyday
(almost
300-400
tickets
at
the
First
phase
and
almost
100
tickets
at
Second
phase
of
the
day).
Devotees
who
managed
to
get
the
VIP
tickets,
will
get
AC
waiting
room
over
there.
Devotees
with
the
first
phase
tickets
can
enter
inside
the
temple
on
the
first
half
but
devotees
with
the
second
phase
tickets
can
enter
inside
the
temple
after
2pm.
The
temple
is
closed
for
sometime
at
the
noon.
The
whole
temple
area
is
covered
with
free
WiFi.
Washrooms,
Resting
places
are
there.
The
door
of
the
temple
remain
open
for
near
about
7pm
everyday.
I
hope
my
experience
is
helpful
for
the
devotees
who
want
to
visit
there
in
future.
I
went
there
on
October,
2023.
So
the
information
I
mentioned
regarding
the
temple
may
change
with
time.
