What an amazing place! The range of plants is extremely large and the staff are super friendly. I went in to look at their supplies to make your own terrarium and Newtown Garden Market did not disappoint. Even if you aren't planning on buying any plants I would recommend having a visit to this store.

It pains me to give one star as this used to be such a lovely little shop. It still has a fantastic range of plants, however there seemed to be a change of management a while ago and the place has felt toxic since. The older lady was very unhelpful and rude to me when I didn't immediately understand her directions to some plastic nursery pots about a year ago. I could hear her unsavoury conversation with another staff member about me afterwards which made the whole thing feel worse. I felt so rattled by this I refused to return, tho I decided against leaving a bad review as I hate leaving them and it was a one off experience. However on a recent trip back down I noticed the staff turnover was high and the new staff were as helpful as they could be, but gave the impression of feeling uncomfortable and nervous. The environment doesn't feel welcoming to walk into. It's so important to ensure a positive working environment for staff! Happy staff, happy customers.

I was in just the other day and I don’t usually write reviews…but the staff were so great and dedicated, I felt I must! They truly are a credit to the store. In particular the gentleman behind the counter made my day. Despite being busy, he was cheerful and happy to help and nothing was too much effort. Wonderful customer service! I didn’t catch his name unfortunately. But he was slim with a lovely smile (seemed like the manager) and had a witty sense of humour. (We had a joke about the uniforms, which I love). I will definitely be back!

This place is magical! I came for one plant and left with four. You could spend hours looking through the great selection. The staff is incredible! They were so helpful, patient, knowledgeable, and kind. Whether you’re a plant beginner or expert, this is the place to go. :)

Got a home delivery from these guys. Dealing with them was an absolute breeze and they communicated really well as I was after some plants that I’ve been looking for for ages. Before covid I’ve been in the store a couple of times and the staff are extremely helpful. Can’t recommend them enough!

Had a great experience coming here. We brought in a plant a friend had given us which wasn't looking too good and the staff were really patient and helped us to repot it and get it back on the road to recovery. They have a great range of products and we ended up picking up a new pot and plant while there that are brightening up the house.

Unfortunately, introduced fungus gnats to my space, which has since spread to my other newer plants and I can't get rid of them despite trying very hard and with all methods commonly suggested online. The staff member who served me was impatient and slightly condescending when I came in as a plant newbie and had to double check which direction my window faced, when asked.

Probably the best (for both value and expertise) garden store in all of Sydney. The staff has a great selection of pots, plants and supplies.

It's great to see that exemplary customer service still exists! Chris and another of his colleagues (didn't get his name) made my shopping visit very enjoyable. Chris presented a whole range of options for me to consider. I was extremely happy with my final purchase and it was delivered exactly when they said it would be - by Chris himself! I love supporting local small business and especially those with an incredible service ethic and excellent product range. Newtown Garden Market is now my go-to for anything garden-related!

Great place to visit for all your garden needs- staff are always well informed and they have a wide range of plants as well. Edit 20/10/2021 - bought a big old ficus and their delivery service was top notch!

I purchased a Monstera deliciosa 'thai constellation' that I've been trying to get for several years. It means even more to me now after receiving such a great all round experience dealing with the store and your dedicated staff. Will definitely be back.
