Warrandyte River Reserve
National reserve
👍👍 A beautiful trail which allows dogs both on and off leash depending on the section of the walk. The river can be fast flowing in places, so caution with dogs swimming, however there are a few sections which are more shallow and great for swimming with your dogs. Plenty of areas to stop on the trail...

The 100 Steps of Federation

👍👍 The 100 Steps of Federation is located inside Truganina Park. This is a large open space that is well landscaped and maintained. The steps are an easy walk from the car park. There is a wide view from the top where you can see the Cheetham Wetlands and the city. Great place for a family walk, fresh...

Dights Falls
Weir
👍👍 The falls itself was under maintenance when we visited but if you keep walking through the boathouse route, there’s a great spot to sit and chill just next to the water! Very relaxing. Great place to bring dogs too!

👍👍 You come here to appreciate the ecological impact and importance a place like this has on the environment. Urban sprawl on one side- Point Cook Marine Sanctuary and Port Philip Bay on the other. All flat ground 1500m walk to the lookout. No toilets or rubbish bins. Take your rubbish with you!

ONE PLANET Shop image

ONE PLANET Shop
Camping store
👍👍 Very impressed with the help I received at the One Planet shop in Little Bourke St, particularly Manu. She patiently explained and showed me all the features of the Goondie tent, nothing was too much trouble. The tent was ultimately a bit heavier and smaller than what I'm seeking, but I will defin...

Gold Heritage Walk
Hiking area
👍👍 A beautiful walk with the opportunity to learn about the history of the area along the way. Some steep sections and loose gravel, but manageable. It's interesting to see the mine entrances and imagine what it was like at the time. The tracks could be better signposted.
