Springbrook Pinnacle
Scenic spot
👍👍 An incredible hike which I've now attempted from both the Mudgeeraba & Springbrook sides. If you're attempting from the Mudgeeraba side then head to the end of Austinville Road and you'll notice a small car park just before the private property signs. Note: It's very quiet here so I'd be careful wi...

Lizard Point
Scenic spot
👍👍 Hands down the best view you will see in South East Queensland. You will see 270 degree views with the Barney National Park, D'Aguilar Range and Flinders Range. If it's there, you can see it from here. You'll need a good level of fitness to get here but it's well worth the effort. While you're up th...

Upper Portals
Scenic spot
👍👍 Beautiful secluded oasis. 4WD road access to the start of Mt Barney NP and 8km return hike from there. It's well worth a trip if you can access it. Very diverse scenery and landscapes on the walk in with multiple creek crossings. Can hike in and free camp overnight. Track follows a fire trail so wal...

South Solitary Island
Historical landmark
👍👍 Have never been there as helicopter is the only way apparently. But I can see the island from my kitchen window and the light of the lighthouse at night is a comfort.

The Junction
Scenic spot
👍👍 As I am a 13 year old, I love slides (especially tarp slides with my mates) but The junction, Girraween top all of my experiences. So I was following the hiking trail to the junction and I met the point where Bald Rock Creek and Ramsay Creek met. I was amazed by the temperature at the time but more...

Yellow Pinch Lookout image

Yellow Pinch Lookout
Scenic spot
👍👍 Fairly short walk from the car park. The second half of the walk is quite steep - be careful not to slip on the loose dirt/rocks. Great view of Mount Barney from this lookout (try to choose a less cloudy day than we did!). Follow along on our adventures around Australia @sambolomio

Devil's Kitchen image

Devil's Kitchen
Scenic spot
👍👍 The devil's kitchen is one of my favourite Scenic spots so far! They just added a little wooden fence to the walking track, probably to stop people from getting close to the cliffs. You can cross the fence easily. You have to experience the view you get following the little track behind the fence! P...

Wooli Wooli River
Scenic spot
👍👍 This place is like the place in your dreams. The places you imagine you want to go. Safe for the kids. The water was fairly calm. Crystal clear water. Dog friendly. Large river frontage so you can be away from people still. I would come to wooli again just to come play at this river. 5 star. Wish...

Coomera Falls
Scenic spot
👍👍 What a beautiful and spectacular walk, some very dramatic views of the river in the gorge and waterfalls. Would be great to do the walk up the river. It is a good day out with the family but just have to be careful towards the end of the walk because the track gets narrow with steep sides when it is...

Mount Coolum summit
Scenic spot
👍👍 Good climb, great view. Sign says 2 hrs return, my 12 yr old and I did it in an hour with several stops to catch our breath. Sections of the path are steep- stairlike. Not suitable for little kids or elderly- would be treacherous in the wet. Busy on a tues at 1 pm. Maybe 50-100 walkers.
