Campground
👍👍 The official national park campground was closed so we stayed at Left of Field, and we were so lucky for it! This campground is absolutely one of a kind. I’ve never been to a campsite with so many fun and quirky activities and amenities. The vibes and energy of the place were just fabulous. Everyone...

👍 The caravan park was so nice to stay at! We only stayed one night but would have stayed two if we had the time. We stayed on a powered site right beside the Sassafras river which was rushing, I heard it overnight when I woke up! So peaceful! The staff are amazing, very helpful and informative. A gre...

Good pricing, lovely staff. Kitchen was handy, remember to have $2 coins for showers and bring lots of your own water. They h...

👍👍 We have been to Mount field campground twice on our visit to Tasmania and both times we enjoyed it. It’s a self check-in site, you fill out a form in the hut and put the money in an envelope. You will need a parks pass too, they come round and check your vehicles. There are lots of sites, however we...

Fortescue Bay Camping Ground, Tasman National Park

👍👍 A lovely little camping site, which is relatively secluded and tranquil. It was our first campsite of the trip and has certainly set the bar high. There are a range of walks to do, we did the Canoe Bay walk and it was not too hard and very scenic. I would certainly recommend this campsite as it’s ch...

Gordon Foreshore Reserve campground
Campground
👍 Be warned, it does get windy. We got a great spot right on the water, and even though we were close to the main road, there wasn't much traffic noise. Close to the boat ramp. Facilities are well maintained. It was very busy between Christmas and New Year, but most campers were very friendly.

👍👍 A nice and quiet campsite run by Parks Tas, with beach access. The sites are first come, first served and you will need $10 cash for the self-registration deposit box. The drop toilets are well-maintained but there aren’t sinks for hand washing. There is a tap to collect water for your camp though....

👍👍 Rest stop along the way. The campsite is clean, but the place needs to be small, close to the park and creek. There are restrooms, toilets, showers (hot water is 1 Australian dollar for 5 minutes), washing machines and dryers (additional fee), barbecues, drinking water and benches. (Self-discipline...

👍👍 This bush camp is on top of a hill set among trees. Spots to park your camper, 5th-wheeler, caravan or car are loosely scattered around. You can find a place in the shade of trees or in the open to charge your solar panels. Good showers and toilets, washing machine, camper's kitchen, and cheap firew...

😠 Use to be good, spent thousands here, but had some asian receptionist last time that was really rude to me, even tried to tell me I wasn't allowed to get food delivery there without asking her permission first.. has made me never want to come back again. 👍👍 So thankful for this campground! By the very beautiful riverside (with boat ramp) but it was really peaceful and quiet. The flushing toilets were surprisingly well maintained. 👍👍 Diving with the seals was a once in a lifetime experience that we'll never forget!
