Sirius Cove Reserve
Nature preserve
👍👍 Hidden gem!!! Loooove this place. So many dogs around - most off the leash. Water is super calm for a dip & it’s just super quiet (other than some barking ha) and peaceful! Some shade to sit under, there’s a bathroom here & pretty sure a BBQ too. Small parking lot but lots of street parking nearby.

👍👍 Excellent place for photography at One of the best spots in Sydney with spectacular views of the city skyline opera house and the cruiseliner ships from great vantage points with park benches alongside the harbour, it's an ideal spot for watching the light shows on the harbour bridge.

Yarramundi Reserve
Nature preserve
👍 Wow, Recent floods have really damaged Yarramundi! It is one of my favourite places for swimming and fishing and is so beautiful, but now looks like a bomb went off! Soooo much mud everywhere, car park is closed due to thick mud on Navua Reserve side. I really hope it recovers quickly 🌸

Simmos Beach
Nature preserve
👍 It's a lovely hidden gem. The water is murky but ok to swim in. The river has a sandy bottom to walk on. There are some deeper parts so keep an eye on kids, but there are sections where the water is shallow most of the way out and young kids can stand in. Picnic facilities in good condition, ther...

Middle Creek Reserve
Nature preserve
👍👍 My favourite running trail I've found in the area so far. It goes all the way round Narrabeen Lagoon, mostly shaded, about 8.5 km if you do the whole loop, SO pleasant and quiet. AND there's lots of well maintained reserves dotted along the route so plenty of clean public toilets and water bottle fi...

Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden
Park
👍 It's nice, but to me it was nothing special really. It's for free and they have very good marked trails with different levels. It's basically a bush walk and you might get to see birds and flowers. There are a few waterfalls and there is a playground for kids. Everything is well maintained. If you'r...

Ingleburn Reserve

👍 Nice layout. Good fun for the kids. The road leading to it is uneven. So don't take your lowered car there. There is still construction there. Lots of potential.

Hermitage Foreshore Reserve
National park
👍👍 One of the most spectacular walks in Sydney - a must for any visitor. A bush trail that snakes along the harbour coastline revealing hidden coves and beaches such as MIlk Beach and Queens Beach. Heading east, the trail effectively ends at Nielsen Park, a spot which could make a compelling case as th...

👍👍 This beautiful spot is ideal for bird watching. There are benches nearby to relax or one can go for a leisurely walk. Frogs could be heard, though I couldn't spot any. It's much appreciated that such an island of beauty exists within the city. The area is dog friendly. There are a few cafes, within...
