👍👍 My 3 x great grandfather owned this pub in 1868, whilst I was in Freeling I went and had a look. The current Publican is very friendly and showed me this plaque. The front Bar has had a complete refurbishment recently and looks wonderful. Worth a visit when you are in the area

👍👍 We had an amazing time, the manager well i believe it was the manager was super helpful and made our experience there enjoyable. Even when the balls wouldn't come up he was right onto fixing the ball jam. We will definitely be back again! Also the renos they did since we last visited are amazing!!

🫤 I have just had a S and P squid meal. Burnt and chewey. Salad was red cabbage only. Chips were cold. Had to ask for taratre sauce, no lemon . Only ate half the meal. Sorry, we wont be back, nor would i recommend a meal here

👍👍 A proper old school pub with old fashioned service and decor. NO POKIES! which is great. Food is good, decent size. Plenty of beer variety although not overly craft heavy, but a small selection at least. Beer garden for summer. A couple of open fires for winter.
