This is a true adventure as it requires a boat ride to the island.
That is not included in your entrance ticket and the fare is somewhat negotiable.
But it enhances the experience.
The Temple of Philae was rescued from the rising waters when the dam was built....

👍👍 The first entrance after the Avenue of the Sphinx. It is the youngest element of the temple. This was gradually expanded from the inside out. Unfortunately the reliefs were removed.

As well as you can climb the gate to see the view from top.

Mausoleum of Imam al-Shafi'i

👍👍 Recently my family and I visited here. Such an honour and well kept. The Shrine itself closes during prayer times and re opens half an hour later. A suggestion would be for a guide to be present as the experience would be more memorable and educational.
