👍👍 I was fortunate enough to watch this erupt from the start when it was on its cyclical eruption. I have been here several times and it is worth the visit, even without an eruption. The volcanic landscape, smell of sulphur, fumaroles, and lava fields are just incredible. For the full walk, chose any c...

👍👍 Sooo awesome! What a lovely piece of property. I only had an iPhone but imagine this is a photographer’s paradise. Excellent tour guide as well. Tip: if you have an iPhone use portrait mode to get close ups of the puffins. It works a lot better than trying to zoom normally.

👍 This is a lighthouse above a rocky rock in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean off the Icelandic coast. Reachable only by helicopter where, in addition to the lighthouse, a landing platform has been built. The lighthouse is considered the most isolated in the world and was built in 1939.

👍👍 My favourite church in Iceland. Such quiet surroundings with atmospheric landscape. Road is all tarmac easy access. There will likely be no tourists there. You can’t access inside and be mindful the grounds have some graves.

👍👍 Great museum with informative and friendly staff! We thoroughly enjoyed a more in-depth history of Iceland and mostly Eric the Red. We also learned a little more about the lifestyle for Vikings in Iceland. This place really is something you should add to your Iceland bucket list!
