👍 Due to road closures our travels redirected us to Borgarnes. The Settlement Center was a big stop for our day of driving. There is a lot of history here, which is shared in the echo offered at this location. We were focused on food, as we had beef driving a lot. The buffet looked ok, but we opted fo...

👍👍 Me and three friends stopped in after dinner before heading back to our hotel and ended up staying for 3+ hours. Johanna, the owner, was our bartender and was not only amazing at her job but also the MOST helpful person we have met in Iceland. The drinks were fantastic and the food was even better—g...

Supermarket
👍👍 In Iceland terms, this is the best supermarket you can visit. Things are a reasonable price. But please try some Icelandic treats - Ris bars are good. The vast majority of things are in English as well like the check outs.

Supermarket
👍👍 There are 3 supermarket brands in Iceland. Bonus, Netto and Kronan. Our experience is that the Kronan is the best looking, most diverse and the most expensive. Netto is cheaper with limited diversity and Bonus is cheap, has everything we needed but sometimes a bit messy. But it was our number one.
