Best places: Things to dos in Kohima District

👍 Very beautiful Naga heritage village. Every year Hornbill festival take place in this village. Its only 1 hrs from Kohima. Must visit.

👍 It's a Heaven on Earth. One of the best treking I've ever had. The valley's so beautiful along with the hillocks. It's green everywhere. I experience the coldest wind blowing through. I've seen when it is burnt down half of the Valley.

👍👍 Located at the heart of Kohima town. Walkable area. Well maintained. Parking available. Entry free. The view of Kohima on three sides, with the Puliebadze mountain range on one side as it's backdrop. Plan your visit on a sunny day to get the max of the visit.

👍👍 The experience was great. The best time to trek is during dry season . Monsoon season also do add a different experience especially when you are at the summit.

👍👍 Great place to camp! The only camp that's open through the year - the others just pop up for Hornbill festival and disappear. The folks who run the place are very courteous and very helpful! Prices are very affordable and there are clean washrooms available at the campsite. Highly recommended!

👍👍 A memorial to G.H Damant( then political officer of the Naga Hills). Shot dead at khonoma in 1879. The place is currently under the Archaeological Survey of India. A must visit. Also, the location of the monument provides one of the best viewpoint in khonoma.

😐 Good place for dayouting & family get togethers, the amenities are good. Pleasant full environment. Great location for picnic. But not much to explore and the road to the destination is just insane. If you are driving something with low ground clearance, good luck 👍

👍 The park is good with small kids play zone. Maintained beautifully. Can go with friends. For old age people it will be difficult as they have to climb many steep steps. But the entry fee is 80/head which I feel a bit high just for a park.
