👍 Was in the Garden of Remembrance when I came across this statue of the story of Children of Lir. The story comes from an Irish myth about 4 children who were turned into swans by their evil stepmother. They are forced to live in that form for 900 years, before regaining their human form., but sadly...

👍👍 Great Memorial Garden in Moate Co. Westmeath, dedicated to the men and women of Ireland on the 100 year anniversary of 1916 - 2016. Including Pte Patrick Kelly children's Park. Pte Patrick Kelly was Killed during the Don Tidey Kidnapping on the 16 Dec 1983. R.I.P

😐 It's not a very large park, you can walk the circumference in a few minutes. It does have a children's playground that looks good but I can't give you first hand experience as I don't have young kids. I think I spotted a free eCar charging point in the car park!
