Tranquil, undeveloped sandy stretch, a destination for observing local sea life at low tide.

😐 Great place for a walk. But very little parking at the old Newcastle railway crossing. Around 20 small cars at the most. Not suitable for electric scooters or racing bikes, as the rubble path eventually leads down to the gravel/pebble beach. You could get away with a mountain bike, just...... G...

👍 We met a local guy, John, who was picking up ocean trash. He pointed out the blowhole across the bay and told us about the annual Christmas Day swim.

👍👍 Wow! Ireland has such amazing beaches. Easy access, small parking area, picnic table, very tidal, gentle slope into the sea, views of Oilean Cleire, good for swimming, and in September (weekday) pleasantly quiet. Highly recommended.

👍 Lovely little beach, tiny place to park your car.. There's a pathway up the hill, but gone half way there, all muddy.. Not too safe to go up there..
