👍👍 This sandy forest runs adjacent to Curracloe Stand and is one of my favourite places in Wexford. The woods are peaceful with sandy trails running along the dune tops, a welcome diversion from the beach for dogs and people alike, with beautiful views from a height over the sweeping arc of the pristin...

👍👍 A gorgeous walk in a unique landscape. I recommend parking in the little lot on the road about 200 yards from the trailhead. Bring a waking stick for the way down

👍👍 Lovely place for a walk. The trails are clearly marked, longest one is 1700mts. You could spend a good few hrs just exploring the different trails. The car park is a bit small but it is free. Will definitely come back once blue bells are in bloom.

👍👍 This is the place to clear your head and breathe in the magical air we need. It's not too long but could be as long as you want either. This place brings forest and water senses together. I love it. My children love it and the dogs love it. It's busy enough at the weekends but people can be avoided....

Benbulben Forest Walk
National forest
👍👍 Nice place to walk, relax, breathe fresh air and have a beautiful view to the mountains and sea. Take at least one hour and half of your time to do the shortest trail around the mountain. The trail is easy but at some points you can get your shoes a little bit wet, so get prepared to this. You can p...

Rossmore Forest Park

👍👍 Lovely forest park on the edge of Monaghan town. It's got lakes, sculptures of giants, children's play area, castle ruins, a walled garden, several walks, a coffee hut and plenty of free parking. The whole park is free to visit and you can spend hours here.

👍👍 Really enjoyed this, plenty of different routes to walk and I'd say a great running spot as well. No toilets I could see, but picnic benches and really clean and paths well maintained.

Tibradden Wood
National forest
👍👍 It's one of my favourite places to walk. It's not too difficult either, just 1 or 2 steep hills, but nothing too extreme. From car park to the Fairy Castle is about 4.5km. Some great views and landmarks to check out, and if you're lucky, you will get to see some wildlife to.

👍👍 Just great 🥰 you can walk up the mountain and observe hilarious views of Carlingford Lough and Warren Point at the other side. Forests are beautiful and some creeks are scenic. Just go. Just watch. Just breathe that sweet air.

👍👍 Glenbower Wood is one of the best woodland trails that I have come across in Co. Cork and loacted just outside of Killeagh village. It really is a hidden gem! Its a great location to go for a walk, run or cycle and you would meet people from time to time running and cycling around! There are frequen...

Moore Hall Forest Recreation Area

👍👍 My very favorite area in Ireland. The history behind Moore Hall is fascinating and the walk is beautiful. It's amazing to see the hall up close and the size of the building, along with the coach quarters, outhouses, and tunnel. Absolutely recommend a stop and a walk to visit.

👍👍 Fantastic walk with the children. Approximately 3.5km long. Not a lot of parking available though. Picnic tables, 50 meters in from the parking area. The walk is fairly level but before you come back on the loop you have an uphill section, fortunately a bench at the bottom and the top. On the way...

😠 Really poor experience - anti traveller/anti-camping 1.9m height limit at car park entrance. Not great for tourists with a roofbox.

👍👍 Stunning place. Plenty of parking. Unfortunately, not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs . Absolutely spotless, plenty of benches along the way. But the highlight of the walk is the 400m boardwalk. Made from recycled materials. Stunning views of the Barrow. Only downside, the walk is fairly short...
