Best places: Hiking areas in Shannon, Ireland

👍👍 We did the 13km in 2hours 15mins, purple loop. Big carpark, busy at weekends and bring some cash to donate. Excellent trail, extremely well sign posted. They have done an excellent job here, follow a path with beautifulviews to start, a decent pull up to the peak and then a fairy forest to finish....

👍 Very nice sunday walk with a number of marked trails of different distances or explore on your own. Drive into carpark is long and narrow so drive slowly and carefully. When we visited (Sunday) there were a lot of visitors with unleashed dogs so be warned.

👍👍 Great place to take a walk in a quite place with nice trails. Really kept up well and dogs welcomed. The forest was green a can be with diverse trees and plants. Parking area for 12 or so cars. A little hard to find as you wind done a very narrow road to the car park.

👍👍 Excellent walking trail with incredible panoramic views and historical sites along the trails. Looks around towards a big tower and cross where you can see Limerick and the Shannon River.
