👍👍 It’s a little out of the way for those staying downtown but is definitely worth a visit. I particularly enjoyed the bright and colorful wall paintings, one of the unique things about this temple. There were no admission fees during my visit.

👍👍 Nice temple with good views. Can go up inside the pagoda, which has small holes to peep through to see more of the area and has a painted history of Buddha. Not far from handicraft village (ODOP)

😠 At Wat Mai, we’ve seen a Monk abusing Dogs by hitting them with long sticks on their head without any reason. Despicable behavior for a buddhist would should be a good example.

After 6 pm, the main chapel of Wat Siphoutthabath is open for evening prayers. In this time you can go inside the beautiful murals on the wall which paint...

👍 Old temple that needs love. Its location makes it interesting, being on top of Mount Phousi. Going up you will find various shrines and another temple with a small cavern that has a shrine inside it. The view makes it 4* but really all the credit goes to Mount Phousi.

👍👍 Wat That Luang Wat That Luang was built on a low hill by King Manthatourat (1817-36), located in a large open streatch of land where royal cremations were held as well as annual ceremonies. Before 1975 it was the place of cremation for the members of the royal family.

👍 This historic temple sits underneath the famous PhoSi Stupa Mountain. Small in size, its definitely worth a look; and you can read up on the background via the boards outside. It has some nice carvings in the roof.
