Igreja de São Martinho de Cedofeita
Catholic church
👍👍 Wonderful, a shame it's always closed. I appeal to the Porto City Council and the Curia. Open and allow the visit of this Wonder. I can be responsible for looking after her if needed, as I live 200 meters away from her.

Mosteiro de São Bento da Vitória
Monastery
👍👍 We've had a mix of audio and live English guide. Audio was very limited and poor. But the live guide was very knowledgeable, passionate and with great sense of humour. It was an interesting experience and reflective space. Partly thanks to conversation around well-endowed mermaids on monks' benches...

Parish Church of Massarelos
Catholic church
🫤 We had an Airbnb next to this place. Just now, starting from 5pm on a Saturday, there came some horrible bell music from this church. Pure torture to your ears. It's laughable to call this music. Don't know why we deserve this awful treatment.
Other than that, the church looks nice from the outside.

Catholic church
👍👍 Among the many churches in Porto, the Igreja de San Lorenzo dos Grilos (Church of San Lorenzo de los Grillos) stands out, which also houses the Museum of Sacred Art and Archeology.
Of austere beauty (especially if we compare it with the ornate Baroque churches that abound in the city), this Jesuit...

Alminhas of the Bridge
Place of worship
👍👍 It is located in Cais de Ribeira, and it is a bronze plaque with a relief that commemorates one of the most tragic episodes in the history of Portugal. In 1809 French troops invaded Porto and, when the city's inhabitants tried to escape by crossing the boat bridge, it could not support the weight of...
