👍 임진왜란 당시 의병장 조헌선생과 의승 장영규대사가 이끄는 칠백여명의 의병이 만오천여 명의 왜적과 싸우다 모두 순절하자 조헌선생의 제자 박정량과 전승업 등이 싸움이 있은 후 그분들의 유해를 함께 모셔놓은 곳이다.
매년 9월23일에 국가에서 칠백의사 순의제향 행사를 거행하고 있다고 합니다.

개인적으로는 병산서원과 비교하면 위치, 건물의 방향, 주변 환경과의 조화가 조금은 아쉬웠지만 유네스코 유산으로 등록된 이유가 분명히 있을거라 생각합니다.
유네스코 문화유산 등재로 유지관리도 잘 이루어지고 있어 앞으로도 우리의 문화유산이 잘 지켜지리라 믿습...

👍 It is a prehistoric site located within the city center (free visit).
It's nice to take a walk, and you can also see dugout huts from the Neolithic and Bronze Age. I think it's good to exercise because it's not flat but has uphill and downhill slopes.
