Best places: Night markets in Waegwan-eup, South Korea

👍👍 Great place for street vendor food. Lots of shops. Huge Olive and Young store with all sorts of skincare. All the vendors are friendly. Food is cash only. Must do experience.

😐 COVID has changed the shopping landscape completely, with almost all beauty shops shuttered (with the exception of Olive Young). Feels like a ghost town. Lots of construction noises though, so hopefully they will reopen in the near future. Don't expect to find any of the usual cosmetics shops here,...

Vibrant, covered market featuring produce, local foods, clothes & street-food vendors.

👍👍 Great spot by the night Market for a picnic. Plenty of stalls offering a wide variety of surprisingly good food. Area is huge but can still get quite crammed with blankets and tents. This can be a busy spot but is a great way to spend an evening.
