Tommy World War One Soldier Sculpture - Eleven 'O' One
Memorial park
👍👍 Brilliant sculpture of 'Tommy' Set on the seafront at seaham, plenty of benches around to sit on. Lovely sea views, some lovely cafes and chippies to choose from. Free parking. Seaham is an historic mining town and to be honest their seafront and beaches are lovely. Definitely worth a trip.

Tragically Joey lost his life whilst racing in Estonia on 2nd July 2000. It is estimated that 60,000 people from across the world came to Ballymoney to attend h...

👍👍 Lovely little walk along the front with the dog. Lovely memorial statue in its own little bit of land. Right on the sea front. It was very windy when we went would be nicer on a sunny day.

The Scottish Korean War Memorial
Memorial park
👍 A beautiful memorial, with a lovely walk round about. If you climb to the top there are beautiful views, because when walk through one of the trails as it leads straight into a burn/marsh - looks like has caught a few people out including myself, so if you don’t fancy being ankle deep in mud keep yo...

Glencoe War Memorial
Memorial park
👍👍 First time we stopped and walked to the memorial after many visits to Glen Coe. There is a small car park at the entrance to the village with toilet facilities. Then a gentle stroll up to the top of the village near the bridge a small sign bids you to turn right before the bridge to the mouument. A...

👍 I love our local park, it has been a blessing during lock down. A lovely duck pond, great planting, a tennis court and all weather pitch. Plenty of toddlers and children's apparatus to play on, a massive sports field, small woods, 3 bowling greens and dedicated to all our local war heroes with a cen...

Garden of Remembrance image

Garden of Remembrance
Memorial park
👍👍 I don't think "loved it" is correct response for a garden of remembrance i respected it and what it stood for. The Garden of remembrance was very respectfully done for the victims of Pan am flight 103 as well as the others burried/scattered there. It had a surreal feeling. Reading the names of the...

👍 Went for a Mid Ulster football match, very decent pitch, but driving up and down the side streets outside looking for a space wasn't much fun before the game. Looks a nice park for a walk all the same

Burns Mausoleum image

Burns Mausoleum
Memorial park
👍👍 I first walked through the churchyard and read the memorials, the Burns Mausoleum being the most grand. The most moving to me though was the memorial to the martyrs of the persecution. Then I went in the church and was guided by a volunteer. The pulpit is a massive structure carved of a single tree.
