👍👍 Really nice place to go for a walk. Good footpath but the river, plus benches and some interesting signage explaining the history. Fun to watch the barges go through the lock. Bonus of an ice cream van when we went. There are 2 large car parks and a couple of pubs for food and drink all in short wal...

👍👍 A beautiful area for a nice walk. The canal ways are so peaceful and the views from the track are lovely. At the locks there is a little seating area which is good place to stop for a rest. The lock area also connects several different walking /cycling routes so your spot fit choice in terms of whic...

👍👍 It's a beautiful little place, right next to Vale Royal Abbey. You can do a circular walk to and from hunts lock. Or head to Winsford, taking you past the salt mine and on to the big roundabout at the bottom of Wharton hill. Great route to take in summer on bike. Flat smooth paths for most of the jo...

😠 The lock is usually a great place to visit however the lockkeepers could be tasked with being friendlier, just about got a grunt off one when we were there. Manners cost nothing.

👍👍 It is indeed a little lock. Perhaps not the littlest lock in Leeds, but it is certainly very rather little. Scientists believe that if the canal waters can keep eroding Kirkstall Little Lock, then little by little, it will gain the title of Most Little Lock in Leeds. Oh, and don't drink the water.
