👍👍 It’s great for slightly hilly walk with maximum elevation up to 300m . This place has a bit of history just like any other place in UK. Plenty of National Trust car park options around. We walked from Tring station for a circular hike. Place looks just so beautiful in autumn 🍂

👍 Very attractive mixed woodland with beech, oaks and elm. Plenty of wildlife including deer, red kites and in the Spring attractive displays of bluebells. Associated with John Bunyan who used to preach in a natural dwelling the woods. Nice place to walk through

👍👍 My friends who lives near by took me to this lovely woods! Really enjoyed it. It has a park with a ruin of an old Abbey. There is also a nice cafe. If you drive you can park on the road near by. Worth a visit.

👍👍 I’m really glad I found this beautiful forest near us! It reminds me of my childhood and playing in the woods. It’s very peaceful and lovely to walk even when it rains. Most of the path feels soft and stays nice and dry and the atmosphere in the air was very refreshing and energising.

👍 Short walk from either the car park or Brookman park station. plenty of bluebells on display. Very very muddy after rain - if wet Gumboots or hiking boots a must. Fishing permitted with permit. Nice walk and lovely to hear the birds, owls and nature. Dog was able to be off lead for most of the walk....
