👍👍 Lots of trails to walk, hides to watch the wildlife from, ponds, ponies, sheep, plenty of birdsong , peaceful place for a walk, cafe and toilets at the visitors centre and plenty of parking .

👍 Lovely area to walk around. We parked in the free car park just off South Road. We done the circular walk and enjoyed getting down to the river. There was some litter in this area, looks like folk go there to enjoy a few tinnies and leave the leftovers. It was also a shame to see graffiti regarding...

👍👍 Beautiful views of Durham. Birds, animals (if you are quiet enough). Trains, including occasional steam once in a while (The Flying Scotsman was there). I just wish they plant more interesting trees that also do not obscure the views. After a walk you can have a nice lunch or tea in Durham or there...

👍 Excellent walk through fields and wooded area. Very safe for walking and so far unspoilt by litter louts and rubbish tippers. Lovely countryside views including sight of the famous Angel of the North. Fantastic way of spending time in the countryside.
