👍👍 I was amazed this was free entry and only a nominal £3 for parking all day. It's a wonderful place for a walk with large and small hides to view the birds. Binoculars are needed for seeing the birds and there are useful information signs displaying a picture of the birds and what they are. I certai...

👍👍 This used to be the Old Lower Lighthouse at Portland Bill which was decommissioned in 1906 to make way for the construction of the current working lighthouse as seen today. It is an ideal place if you are a bird watcher. There is also accommodation, see leaflet in photo's.

👍👍 We visited today 2nd August and experienced a truly magical birds of prey flying display, made all the more enjoyable by a somewhat stubborn but nonetheless amusing 'Echo' the European Owl. The entire display is accompanied by an informative and interesting live commentary. Then at the end of the di...

👍👍 Great place to relax. There's a short walk which dogs are not allowed on, and another that's dog friendly but very very steep with hundreds of steps. Free car park but donations welcome.

👍👍 Gorgeous little hidden gem just outside of the city. Great for trainspotters, as you’re right by the tracks for a good portion of the walk. There’s also a hotel/pub called The Turf on the way that’s right by the water and the views are excellent. Admittedly easier to get to by car, but still walka...

👍👍 I love the fact that this is kept wild. It's a shame though, that the size was reduced to increase the size of an individual estate 😪

Park
👍👍 Great surrounding location for dog walking, but not in the park itself, I don't think that you allowed to do anything in this park at all. In fact locally I have heard tell that it is known as the 'no no' park as the signs show so many prohibited activities :). But it is a beautiful area.
