Bridge
👍 Easy to miss if your not looking for it as it's just off the main street. Carpark available. The bridge and river are beautiful, picnic benches near by,unfortunately the weather was not on my side so didn't venture far. Definitely worth a quick rest stop to have a look at the area and views

Pont Fawr (Inigo Jones Bridge) Llanrwst

👍👍 Just as Albert Camus said, Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower. Witnessing these brilliant colours gives me calm and peace, a little break from stress and tension.

The Sankey Viaduct (Nine Arches)
Bridge
👍👍 The other posts say it all. This is a part of world railway history. The arches are nearly two hundred years old and a marvel of the engineering back then. Still taking modern trains. A walk along the Sankey Viaduct is well worth the trip to see the arches. I’ve heard that they are bing done up...

Aldford Iron Bridge
Bridge
👍 A grand bridge straddling the River Dee, built by William Hazledine and designed by Thomas Telford. A lovely spot along the Dee. We canoed here from Eccleston Ferry Parking ~ 2 miles back towards Chester. Beautiful stretch of the Dee with very little flow to paddle against surprisingly. Plenty of wi...

👍👍 written in 1805 about the docks here Chains will be found to extend along the dock quays; which became necessary to prevent strangers and others from falling into the dock in the night, from missing their way, through intoxication, etc. To read more historical facts about this area and of Liverpoo...

👍👍 It is said, The Roman city walls were extended to the south in the 12th century with a wall bordering the north bank of the River Dee. The original Bridgegate is recorded to have been built by the 1120s. The gate guarded the southern entrance to the town and the North Wales Road ran through this gat...

Sappers Suspension Bridge
Bridge
👍👍 It's pretty difficult to rate a bridge but it serves its purpose well, is somewhere I like to visit on every trip to Betws and is always an interesting conversation piece when you look at the photos. A very nice to photograph and often people are playing in the water below. It brings a nice atmosph...

Warrington Transporter Bridge
Bridge
👍 Tucked away on the banks of the river Mersey behind a soap and chemicals factory, the disused Warrington transporter bridge is so well hidden that not many people even know that it's there. It has been out of use since about 1964 and is in a poor state, yet it is one of only maybe a dozen such struc...
