👍👍 Amazing hidden gem. Great beach with very few people around, having said that I did go in the week so may be different on weekends. Light house is a nice view while relaxing on the beach. The car parking right next the beach was also only 20p!! Costs more to use the public toilets now a days

Helsby Hill
Scenic spot
👍👍 You park up at the car park for Helsby quarry. Short walk up a steep hill gets you into wilderness to explore. Further up and you are at the top with views of Cheshire and beyond overlooking Helsby. On a clear day, outlines of Liverpool cathedrals and the Welsh hills can be seen. Serene atmosphere....

Bidston Lighthouse
Historical landmark
👍👍 I recently embarked on one of the Heritage Open Days tours of Bidston Lighthouse and I couldn't recommend it higher. The tour guide, who I believe owns the place, is deeply knowledged in its history. His knowledge of the people, sciences and circumstances behind the building really leave nothing to...

👍 It's a good but short walk with views for miles up to the North of England, with Blackpool tower and the Penines visible on a clear day. Most of the earthworks are still very clear on the side of the hill with a clearly visible rampart you can walk the whole way around at the top. There's a lot of g...
