👍 Very organised with good sized plots each separated by low rail fencing and bushes. Beautiful disabled facilities. Good dog walk off site which is flat for disabled visitors to manage. A bit difficult moving around with a wheeled walking aid on the gravel.

👍👍 Great campsite and Scout HQ. Been several times for events and camping. Lots of history on site to see and learn about. Good camping facilities and areas with great views on some. Woodlands with lots of wildlife.

👍👍 What an absolute gem and thank goodness it was thriving. Visited first for a beer or two and a marvellous selection on tap as well as bottles. Came back the next day to get their pizzas as a takeaway and the sourdough pizzas was lovely and even a gluten free option. Superb

👍👍 Great place to start off a lazy paddle on the River Chelmer. It gets very busy with parking on a small lane so get there early. Nice grass area next to the lock to set up with a short walk down to a small launching jetty if you are setting off downstream.

🫤 We stayed here with a campervan in May 2023. The pub is temporary closed. The campsite charges £30. The facilities are outdated. Price performance ratio is questionable.
