👍 An interesting and peaceful Nature Reserve cared by Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust.
In the 13th century, the area was a limestone quarry for building stones.
In summer some of the paths can be overgrown with nettles, so be careful wearing shorts…

👍 A lovely nature reserve although sadly covered in too much dog poo along the paths to warrant five stars.
A quick walk around the water followed by a loop around the churchyard and a similar offshoot along the road before returning to the car park.
