Treeside Alpacas
Tourist attraction
👍👍 We had a lovely experience meeting "the boys" of Treeside farm. We began our afternoon trek by getting to know our new best friend. The idea behind this is so your alpaca feels comfortable with his new leader before setting off but they seemed to want to get more acquainted with the juicy leaves on...

👍👍 The 2 ladies that are there are amazing, I took a 4 year old and a 2 year old and they were so patient with the kids and really took time to explain the insects to them. It's only a small place so only takes maybe 4 minutes to go round it but it is amazing. You can purchase plants there for a small...

The Walton Cross
Historical landmark
👍👍 Not well signposted, but worth tracking down. Not far from the road and just next to the public footpath. Stone base of ancient cross, with intricate Celtic carvings. My family name is Walton, so I was very pleased to see it!

Kirkstall Lock image

Kirkstall Lock
Weir
👍👍 It is indeed a little lock. Perhaps not the littlest lock in Leeds, but it is certainly very rather little. Scientists believe that if the canal waters can keep eroding Kirkstall Little Lock, then little by little, it will gain the title of Most Little Lock in Leeds. Oh, and don't drink the water.

Dewsbury Bus Museum
Museum
👍👍 They put on an open day 3 open days a year, and provide bus rides between the museum and Dewsbury. A good afternoon out at minimal cost (the rides are free with a donation to the museum), be it only 3 times a year. The museum is open at other times and is always worth a look inside, to see how prese...
