Glenariff Forest Park

👍👍 Glenariff forest park is a must see if you're visiting Northern Ireland. It's located just 1 hour drive north of Belfast and is very accessible by car. Arriving at the location I was surprised to see that parking for cars was £5 for the day and even more for vans, luckily when we got there the park...

Hillsborough Forest & Car Park

👍👍 The most beautiful spot for a walk. You’ve got a forest walk, a play park, parts of the walk where your dog can swim, picnic tables for your lunch and if you’re lucky, you might catch an ice cream van! It’s a family favourite place for us!!

👍👍 Lovely visit to Cairn Wood, large fantastic carpark with plenty of parking, new toilet suitable for disabled and also had an emergency pull cord. Dog poo bin located at the start of the walk so if dog owners just spend a little time here I'm sure it could be picked up and put on the bin before you d...

Garvagh Forest

👍👍 An oasis of tranquillity in a hectic world. Nice long walk available where you can be alone (wildlife excepted) with your thoughts and get some much needed exercise. Three main walking routes, where if taken together should get you over 20000 steps. Paths are in good condition and are well sign post...

Woodburn Forest Upper Car Park

👍 A wonderful place to walk and enjoy a little peace and quiet, just a few minutes drive from Carrickfergus town centre. There are a number of good stoned paths, along with some grass paths which tend to be a bit muddy, and there are some forest trails which are usually dry and covered in leaf litter...

Portglenone forest park

👍👍 A great spot. Not too big and pretty much on the flat. Has a nice mix of woodland. Great sized car park with toilets which are open and well maintained. Wasn't too busy when we went. Will certainly be back in the other seasons. Visited it in January.

Galgorm Wood

👍 It's a lovely little walk if you are in or near the area. I wouldn't make a special trip to here though. We started at the Dreen Road car park which is the best place to start. A small part of the walk takes you past a noisy factory but the rest of the walk is peaceful. You do eventually find benche...

👍👍 Beautiful walk. Nice to see a forest left truly to nature. Definitely wear good walking boots this time of year as can be quite muddy in some places. Few trees have fallen on the path so be prepared to do a bit of manoeuvreing to get through. Will definitely be back to this little gem.
