Shepherd's Steps
Nature preserve
👍👍 The Shepherd's Steps at The Giants Causeway is an exhilarating climb. With 4 children in tow my family and I made our way up in excess of 160 steps to the top where the views are worth every exhausting step! To think that shepherds in the past had to carry individual sheep up these steps is just inc...

National Trust - Portstewart Strand
Tourist attraction
😠 We paid to get onto the strand and watched a group of morons stand close around a seal pup taking photos. The staff did very little to keep them back. I'm not sure how they think it's mother would come in for it. I have contacted seal rescue so hopefully they will help.

RSPB Belfast's Window on Wildlife
Bird watching area
👍👍 Free to rspb members and a small charge to other visitors (£3 adults, £1.50 kids). A very comfortable bird watching building overlooking a natural fresh water lagoon. Many of the birds will walk on the bank right in front of the panoramic windows where you can sit. Some of the birds may be a bit far...

Pollnagollum Cave
Tourist attraction
👍👍 Cool waterfall with a staircase and viewpoint to access it. The walk to the waterfall is not far from the road and you can continue up the track if you fancy a hike there are some inclines and declines that can be slippery under foot. Good for a day stop if you're looking for somewhere to go while a...

👍 Great place to explore but a lot of dog poo. Paths are quite rough so would recommend suitable footwear. Wonderful views over Belfast. Well worth a visit. Not suitable for prams and wheelchairs and for a national trust place there are no toilet facilities

Half Moon Lake

👍👍 A hidden gem in the heart of West Belfast. A small Oasis on the edge of Lenadoon, well maintained and managed by the local community. 👍👍 Such a beautiful place to have a walk. It was muddy underfoot in places, but you'd expect that after rain and being so close to water. There are many places where there are wooden bridges as the ground is a bit soggy. There's a stream running through the stunning green forest with a small picturesqu...
