👍👍 Other than a brief visit in 2011, this was a favourite old haunt (hike) in my student days in the late '80's, and despite the overcast weather, the moderate trek up to Peel Tower surpassed expectations. Astonishing views (shame the pictures don't do them justice) plus could still make out Blackpool...

👍👍 Took the chance to take a hike with the fine weather for a Sunday in February. Stunning scenery from the hill of Burnley, Padiham, Hapton, all round and beyond. The dog loved it too! Now to soak the old feet!

👍👍 A beautiful area for walking with amazing views. The reservoir was built on the site of the old Watergrove village. Free car park and some bridleway paths that are good for cycling too. You won’t be disappointed
