πŸ‘πŸ‘ Just a lovely place for a gentle walk. The site is split on both sides of the road, one side offering shady paths through the woods, the other more open. Both are full of wildlife and bits of interesting nature: the division giving a range of habitats and therefore different inhabitants. Walking rou...

πŸ‘ I walked quite a way..Nice old railway bridges. Lots of shade at the beginning. Gets more exposed and stonier. Would have liked another information board half way through, like at the beginning. Not sure if I reached the river. I enjoyed the walk and got a few steps in.

Compton Acres Pond
Nature preserve
πŸ‘πŸ‘ This pond is a fabulous little oasis in the middle of the estate! There are ducks around the pond which the kids love to feed. There is no official parking but plenty of places in the surrounding streets. It is brilliant to take a picnic in summer when the weather is good!

Bunny Old Wood

πŸ‘ A nice walk just outside Bunny. Only problem is parking. Not a lot of space and parking on the verge off the A60 road. Could do with an adjacent farmer gifting or leasing a little bit of land. Recommended

Wilford Claypit Nature Reserve
Nature preserve
🫀 It's ok if you live in the area and want a stroll somewhere secluded with a bit of tree and water. It's not worth a drive there though. Not pram/wheelchair friendly either. Steps and hill-y with tight entry/exit points and points where you have to climb over low fences. Didn't seem to be any ducks...
