👍👍 Such an evocative location, this simple church building has so many features that connect the visitor with its early Christian history and the important characters from that era, some 1300 years ago ... but also indirectly with the Romans from half a millennium earlier.

👍👍 We really enjoyed the old castle tour,which started outside then inside. An old church to look around. Nice little cafe with homemade cakes. Really would recommend it.

👍👍 A great walk around the Deer Park and along the river bank. The building is interesting (you just walk round the edges) and the park land is beautiful.

👍👍 It's amazing walking trail, has unique location in the middle off spennymoor, houses and streets on the periphery and then this quiet tranquilizing wood and fields in the middle. Fresh air , birds singing, relaxing water sound in the river.
