There's a small section on how the War years affected the area, then a bit on the industries if the area like fishing, shipping, coal mining and glass manufacture. 👍👍 A great spot for the annual gaslighters party in the park concert. Lots of space with stalls and toilets. Plenty of people on hand to help out too. A really great family day out. We look forward to next August and another great day.

👍👍 First time here and very impressed. Very clean beach and clear waters. Lovely rock pools to explore and fabulous views if you walk up to Trow Point. Public toilets, pub/restaurants and coffee shop. Funfair near pier. Came for the kids surf school Easter Monday, highly recommend.

👍👍 Nice walk along the river from Bill quay to Hebburn marina. Paths ok for prams, bikes, scooters so good for children. Grass areas you can sit or picnic on.

👍👍 A great place to walk your dog, lots of trails and fantastic views on clear days. Lots of history here to, from the old mill to the world war 2 bunkers. Lots of wild life, birds, rabbits foxes and the odd newt if your very lucky.
