I believe that you should get there early as when we was leaving at 7.30 it was getting busy.

👍 Interesting sand terminal brought to life by the volunteers. Whilst we were there an old crane was loading sand onto the purpose built sand trucks, which can be tipped to unload the sand at the destination.
One of the volunteer guides explained the process of extracting the sand and transporting it....

Sundon Hills Country Park
Country park
🫤 A good place for dog walking and shepherds.
I would not recommend for family outings or for walks. There were faeces everywhere! Big faeces, small faeces, fresh faeces, decomposing faeces...There was a little path going through the hills but with the faeces problem, (it was like an obstacle course)...

👍👍 We had an afternoon train ride for our grandson's 4th birthday. The train had a plaque with his name on it and had plenty of photos taken. He was even allowed to ride in the train cab with dad, for a short while.
The staff were all wonderful, making a fuss of him and finding more small gifts for him...
