Point of Ayr Lighthouse
Historical landmark
👍👍 Amazing hidden gem. Great beach with very few people around, having said that I did go in the week so may be different on weekends. Light house is a nice view while relaxing on the beach. The car parking right next the beach was also only 20p!! Costs more to use the public toilets now a days

Whistlestop Cafe
Cafe
🫤 Food was basic and I was eating it until I found a hair in it. Staff were polite and refunded the breakfast. Tis basic catering pack sausages, bacon etc not farm sausages. Portions were OK but not the best breakfast I've had by any means. Made with ingredients I personally wouldn't buy from the supe...

The Dinorben Arms
Pub
👍👍 We were recommended the Dinorben Arms by a local holiday park we were staying at. Grounds are immaculate with beautiful views around, the restaurant itself is immaculate inside. Blown away with the food, all tasted homemade, my knife sank into the beef and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for! A...

Barkby Beach
Tourist attraction
👍👍 This is my fave place to walk the dog. I tend to go during the week as it's quieter. I usually use the public car park opposite Pontins as there are toilets there. Off the car park is a decent field area that's nice to walk around, particularly in the spring, and just enjoy the fresh air and the vie...

The Town Fryer
Fish & chips restaurant
👍👍 Great fish and chips, ample tea as part of the meal deals. Lovely fish, nice flakes and great value for money. Its our Fish and chips destination when in Rhyl, my old home town.
Went again in November 2022, and the Fish and chips are still great, the fish particularly was the best I'd had in Rhyl,...

Abakhan Fabrics, Hobby & Home
Fabric store
👍 The nicest Abakhan cloth retailer in the country, based in an old Welsh woollen mill. Ample parking, lots of other quaint retail units and a really good cafe. Worth a trip, there is even a walk to the sea shore available.
