👍 It was a nice surprise. Fully pedestrianised, spacious, plenty of seating and a good selection of stores for light shopping. Has some well established shops like Boyes as well as independent shops. There were a number of empty shops as is the case for many town centres.

😠 Durham Council have gradually eroded the life out of Chester le Street in general. No atmosphere now and I doubt it will ever return. Local business need the town to be attractive to shoppers. 5* FAIL
