👍👍 We happened to go on Stephen F Austin's birthday and they were celebrating with re-enactments!! It was so fun! There is a lot of information in the center so give yourself time to really learn the history of the area. Everyone was so helpful and looked great in the period costumes!

😐 We took the 2.5 hour Magical History tour of Galveston. My husband and I have both done Segway tours in other cities, and while we had a nice time, this one just didn't stack up. This was our boys first Segway tour, and they described it as "fun to ride the Segway, but the tour part wasn't great"....

👍👍 This is a great historical spot to take your family! The grounds are open everyday but you can see inside some of the buildings on Saturdays. Our grandkids loved walking around and having a photo op on the caboose.
