Park
👍 This is a scenic spot for hikers (and cyclists) of all levels. There are both short and long trails with benches along the way, so you can stop to rest or have a snack (bring your own, of course, and take your trash with you). We usually spot a lot of squirrels and herons while we're hiking. We've a...

Atlantic Trail Entrance to Conservation Levee Greenway
Hiking area
👍👍 One of my favorite biking spots. Good for short rides or long ones. You can ride a 40+ mile trail loop (from the trailhead south to Markham, west to 27, north to the airboat place and east back to the trailhead) through the Glades and see hundreds of examples of Florida wildlife. Keep your eyes open...

Yamato Scrub Natural Area

👍👍 A hidden treasure in the middle of nowhere. I heard about the scrubs, and it took a few weeks to figure out where it was on my own before I finally googled the entrance. It was very serene. I am glad there was a cement path. Although you could venture out to the side trails that had a dirt path. I w...

👍👍 We were just passing through and needed somewhere for my dog to run around for a bit. It is $5 for the day or $25 for the year. It only took like 20minutes to get the card but we were happy to pay the fee as this park was the most beautiful park we've been to and so big! The cool thing too, there is...

Highlands Scrub Natural Area
Nature preserve
👍 This was a nice quiet natural preserve, the trail is a short (1/4 mile) circle. There are spots to sit in the quiet. No canal, no water, and close to the road is why I gave it 4 stars. But seeing all the pear cactus was cool!!!
