👍👍 A very solemn moment. Each one of the black tombs represents an unclaimed person that died during Katrina. The park is in the shape of a hurricane and on the front part of the old Charity Hospital Cemetery grounds

This landmark park offers an 1815 battlefield, guided tours, a visitor center & annual reenactments.

👍 With a 3 year old, we visit a lot of parks & I must say this one is one of the nicest! Pretty big with A lot of different things for kids to play on!

👍👍 I was just in New Orleans for the day and tried to visit St. Louis cemetery number one. I was told I would have to join a tour and pay $25. Luckily somebody recommended visiting Metairie. I was able to drive through, see some of older tombs and take some pictures. Very peaceful.

👍👍 To get to this memorial we went through a real fishing village. We saw crabbers separating crabs as we drove by. Neat seeing a non-touristy place! There are RV parks all over this area...and by park, I mean a no-frills, gravel yard to hook up your RV so you can leave & go fish. The memorial is i...
