👍👍 Wow, what a hike! Be warned, this trail is steep and challenging. You'll be scrambling over rocks for hundreds of feet up. There's some nice spots to rest with a view. As an experienced hiker, this caught me off guard. I was on all fours for half this hike to get up and over the wall of boulders.

👍👍 Picks and buckets work better than a hammer and pockets. The hike up can take a long time if you're distracted by shiny things. Entire veins await you at the top. If it looks like glass it isn't and you will lose it in your pocket.

😐 If you're Rv'ng, this is your spot. If you're tent camping, I'd look into Joplin, or Brady Mountain. Fee booth is only open from 12-8 pm during peak season and they don't use the iron ranger. Minimal signage posted around the park with the exception of Army Corps rules and regs (size 8 font and not...

👍👍 Cedar Falls Trailhead is 2-miles of strenuous hiking. Bring good shoes with grip and plenty of water. The first section of trail is steep switch backs with steep rock steps down to the water.
