City of Grapevine Historic Preservation
Historical place
👍👍 We entered free to the museum, if donate - get a post card. It is small but offers a bite of history for Grapevine legacy. I liked the woman voting rights history section. But it has so many more topics. YOU CAN ALSO REQUEST A GUIDE from one of the ladies in the desk, they will gladly do so- they to...

Caddo Mounds State Historic Site

👍👍 This site in texas is wonderful and gorgeous. Though a tornado had ripped through it in 2019, it is coming back strong. There are three mounds on site and a borrow pit. They are still in a trailer for the visitor center until the new one is done. it is still a nice place to visit and learn about one...

Joseph E. Johnston Confederate Reunion Grounds State Historic Site
Historical place
👍👍 We stopped here on our way out from Fairfield lake state park. It's a great place with lots of historical information. It's amazing to see how people lived. The grounds are beautifully kept and we were the only ones touring the grounds in June 2020. It was $4 and adult to access. Bring exact cash to...

Georgetown Visitors Center
Visitor center
😠 My family and I recently moved to Georgetown from San Antonio, so I figured I'd go check out the square and visitor's center in town. I went with my daughter this afternoon and saw that they seemed to be giving away some sort of free bags and stickers, etc for small business Saturday. Unfortunately,...

Johnson County Courthouse
Historical place
👍 We visited on a Sunday afternoon so we didn't go inside. The building is very nice outside. It has similar features to other Texas courthouses, but it's still very unique. At the center of the building is a tall clock tower. There are several memorials all around the property.
