👍👍 WE SWEAT ON THIS ONE. Shoooooweeee. Beautiful views from the top and pet friendly but i would say leave your small less athletic pups at home. This is a toughie. I would say this hike is moderate for the most part, some of the rockier parts are more strenuous. About 7000 ft elevation.

👍👍 Beautiful hike and it do get steep at some points! You will have to climb a small rock face if you want to get to the view here at the First Flatiron. My dog had no problem going up, but she's athletic so just be aware. Make sure to take a picture of the map so you don't get lost (you should still...

👍👍 Sprague Lake is a beautiful and less crowded alternative to Bear Lake in the Rocky Mountain National Park. Make sure you park and enjoy a walk/hike around the lake. Maybe you'll see a moose like we did! We also saw magpies and other local birds. Prepare to enjoy the scent of fresh pines. If only boo...

👍👍 Hiked to Bear Peak via Shadow Canyon 8/10/2018 while on vacation from Illinois. I’m 53 and in okay physical condition. I hiked with my 18 year old son who is in much better condition. The trail guide at the South Mesa Trailhead rates this hike as “Advanced”. I took us 3 hours to get to peak and...

👍 I frequently hike here. It is convenient to where I live. It is next to Golden, but large enough to give you a nature experience. Today I saw 16 mule deer at the north end on top. I frequently see and hear coyotes. There are many rabbits and a variety of birds. There is a grueling half-mile incline...

👍👍 In the summertime you can get up at dawn or before and make it to the summit and back down in a long day. The route is marked with paint on rocks but goes to the right before a massive head wall straightahead which is for rock climbers. So keep to the right and then go through what’s called the keyh...

Panorama Point image

Panorama Point
Hiking area
👍👍 If you are into hiking, start off at the bottom of viewpoint trail (you don’t have to pay for parking!) and hike up to Panorama Point. It’s a steep and steady incline but if you hike at a moderate pace it will take you about 30 minutes and there are beautiful views at the top. Once at Panorama Point...
