👍👍 I went birding here and was no disappointed. The trail system is nicely maintained and the land is beautiful. I was able to see a large variety of birds including a pair of bald eagles. I did a total of 5 miles there and didn't even get to see it all. I will absolutely be going back.

👍👍 What a hidden gem! Beautiful trails with a creek and wild flowers along the way. We were shown the octagon building as it is being renovated as an event venue. Fun swing and climbing tower, and a slide. Don't skip this one, it'll prove it's value!

👍👍 We went for the festival of the sugar maples. The tour was so informative and they presented it in a timeline that took you from early settlers to current methods. The final stop is with a guide who talks about the maple syrup process and shows the equipment they use. The last part of the tour is a...

👍👍 Some fun, walkable trails, with plenty of shade available on hot days here. The river area was my personal favorite place in the forest preserve - I saw a very cute frog, and there were also some very fun rocks to look at. Great place for a hike or just for a nice day outside!

👍👍 This was a great walk area. This park overall was a short trail. I would estimate about 30 min walk around the loop if you didn't stop and enjoy the views. If you plan to go down the steps to see the stream come down the hill be careful.

👍👍 There are an abundance of trails for hiking, walking, running, and even horse back riding. The Stone Bridge trail is dirt/gravel through Winnebago County, but if you go west into Boone County it does become paved and is mostly shaded. If you go into the actual park, those trails are all sand, dirt,...

👍👍 Had a great time for a Halloween celebration. We had snacks and punch, learned about nocturnal wildlife in the area, decorated a bat box that will serve as a shelter for the animals, and went on a fun night hike looking for Bigfoot.
