Best places: Parks in Newton, United States

👍👍 Nice place for a short, midday hike. Not much elevation and lots of benches to sit on if you get tired. Street parking and multiple entrances, might be helpful to take a pic of the garden map so you know where to go.

Historic green space with large trees & open lawns featuring playgrounds, sports fields & walkways.

👍👍 One of the busier Newton parks. Shaded summer playground with a separate toddler fenced in park. Basketball courts and great tennis courts. The hill with big trees is fun for kids to run around. Picnic tables with chess.

This 4.6-acre park features softball & soccer fields plus a pre-school play area with swings.

👍👍 Excellent park in the Nonantum neighborhood of Newton. They have the Italian Festival, Amusement Park rides, and a fantastic sports camps for the kids. And there is great indoor basketball court on site too.

Leafy 33-acre park gifted to the city in 1913, offering natural unpaved trails & a wooded area.

👍👍 Good playground with some unique features (what are those flexible slide-like strips supposed to be?!). Kids had a blast!

👍👍 We love going here to the park to walk and see the turtles! Very clean walking park. Does have a playground on the opposite side of the street . It has clean restrooms and picnic tables with a pavilion to eat at.

👍👍 On weekends there are no people here and you can safely fly a quadcopter...

👍👍 Nice Quiet Park with Free Camping. Must check in with Newton City Clerk to let them know you're there.

👍 It is a good place to relax with kids or friends. It's also a great place to eat for a picnic as well. The park is usually not that busy and there's a baseball field that's usually empty as well. There are no bathrooms available, at least they were closed the last time I went.

👍👍 City said to tell kids not to drink the water! Kids are still doing it :( Other than that, the splash park is across another park and young kids have ton of fun! It's a public park and water was not too cold. Great option for Newton kids.

👍 Small playground, pond and a youth soccer field. There's also access to some hiking trails at the far right side of the field.
