Houghton Garden
Park
ππ Nice place for a short, midday hike. Not much elevation and lots of benches to sit on if you get tired. Street parking and multiple entrances, might be helpful to take a pic of the garden map so you know where to go.

10th and Ash Park
Park
π It is a good place to relax with kids or friends. It's also a great place to eat for a picnic as well. The park is usually not that busy and there's a baseball field that's usually empty as well. There are no bathrooms available, at least they were closed the last time I went.

ππ City said to tell kids not to drink the water! Kids are still doing it :(
Other than that, the splash park is across another park and young kids have ton of fun! It's a public park and water was not too cold. Great option for Newton kids.
