👍👍 Rim of the World is beautiful and haunting. It is a worthwhile stop en route to either Rainbow Pool or Yosemite.

😐 Friendly rangers but they always seem to try to discourage backpackers. "Have you heard about the trail conditions?" I get that rangers want to make sure people are prepared before going into the Backcountry, but warning about trees blocking the trail isn't really that helpful. Once you get talking...

👍👍 Big Falls in Santa Lucia. It is about 50 minutes away from Avila beach. On the way driving into the park, I was able to see Lopez lake. ( very pretty).
