Saltese Uplands Conservation Area
Park
π As the Spokane Valley and Liberty Lake urban developments continue to spread, I am glad planners had the wisdom to set aside wilderness before it also gets paved. The trails in Saltese Uplands offer quick respite from the pressures of city life. Right on the edge of the cities you can park at the tr...

Indian Canyon Mystic Falls
Hiking area
ππ Short, beautiful hike, especially for its proximity to downtown. Not a ton of parking, but you can usually find a spot easily enough. There are a few different routes, depending if you want a shorter/steeper hike or longer/gradual one. Very pretty, in a deep little canyon. Very icy right now thou...

Boulder Beach
Public beach
π I always love to stop here for some sundown pics when I can. This is as late as I could stay on this visit. The area is clean and beautiful. It could use a bathroom structure or port a potty. I snorkeled the river in that area last year and then that thought really crossed my mind!

Fish Lake Regional Park

ππ Fish Lake is a great place to take your kids and/or dogs to. It's mostly very quiet and peaceful, so it's also perfect for fishing. The water isn't too deep, so it can be fun to swim in as well.

Rimrock View Trail & Park

ππ Super easy to get to, with a basically flat walk on a dirt road to some of the nest vistas of Spokane around. Strollers and little kids can easily handle this trek, just keep them away from the steep cliffs!

ππ Definitely a good time and would recommend this anyone trying to get their truck or 4x4 dirty. ππ Loved this place! Beautiful, clean and quiet. Social distancing is easy and several access areas allow for multiple entrances/difficulty levels. More maps would be helpful but I recommend taking picture of the map at the access points.

ππ Absolutely great trail for beginners, young ones, horse back riding and doggoβs! Beautiful views, flowers and scenery. Some areas are muddy and parts of the trail are flooded with water, but that just adds to the fun. Make sure to bring extra shoes, sunscreen and water!

ππ This Area is so beautiful. Next to the Newman Lake. The trails weren't too difficult, tho there is a stretch that's a bit steep, and well marked. Great for a short jaunt. Get Those steps in. Equestrian friendly.

π Surprised to find the area clean and well maintained, even the toilet. The only negative thing is the fact that you could not find the entrance until you drove past it due to the sign being overgrown with vegetation. We knowticed several vehicles having to pull over, and turn around. The ground ke...

ππ Nice spot for a night or two. Very cramped and most spots have no shade. Luckily our site (#62) did have shade around 1 or 2pm because it was over 100 degrees while we were there! Clean showers that require quarters and staff was very friendly and welcoming.
